Do you need a permit to clear or grade land in Texas?
It depends on how much ground you disturb and where you are. Clearing, grading or excavating one acre or more falls under TCEQ's construction stormwater permit (TXR150000). Texas law requires a call to 811 at least two business days before digging, and when you hire us, we make that call. In Parker County, any culvert in the county right-of-way needs a free permit from the precinct, which also approves the culvert's size and type.
